brother, i went to the No Kings Protests

they are not about s*** man. it’s the biggest virtue signaling you can imagine then home for fast food and comfort and the next distraction. I was the only one SCREAMING Trump is a murderer amongst THOUSANDS and when i said he was anti-American mid rant, noticeably heard groans. screaming for the Hispanic kids getting snatched from they homes. screaming for the Palestinian kids starving to death.

unless s*** is really burning down like how people stepped out for George Floyd, I’m not really tryna hear it from liberal white people. fight for something, cause them posters and chants aren’t changing s*** dawg. the other side just laughing and getting more and more violent to the p****footing

Calling for a nationwide general strike without widespread support from organized labor is boneheaded and it’s why every other silly s***lib attempt at this has failed for the past 5 years

    A one day strike?

    Who is behind organizing this?

Could easily go into the weekend

  • Sir Real

I don’t think you understand how these things work

    Teach me

  • Obviously you have to prepare

Yeah no offence to everyone who did the initial 1 day strike but the following day everyone was back in work and somebody was killed

It’s a great step and tbh I never thought I’d even see a 1 day strike in America but an indefinite strike in Minnesota should be the next step

The first one was planned out farther ahead, had union support, and also had several demonstrations planned. It was also used as a litmus test for companies and some local businesses that fired employees for striking have paid the price for it.

This just seems like we want to have Fridays off lol.

Smh there’s actual business owners in MN asking us to strike for them and you think mfs just want a day off. I’m shifting pools off of my Friday, I don’t get paid fully if I skip pools. I’m not doing this to have a day off Yall are ignorant

I live in Minneapolis. The first strike was significantly more planned out and had significantly more local support. Things can change, but that’s how it currently feels here.

  • This will definitely work!

A strike typically has specific demands that you are forcing someone to accept. What are the demands of this strike? I can't find anything on the webpage.

Seems more like a protest rally than a strike, tbh.

MN already had one last week

1 day a week for an extended amount of time can make a huge impact

This is part of why it’s being called a shutdown and not a general strike

What exactly needs planned when the plan is to literally stay home and do nothing? You have several days to stock up on some food and get the word out, s*** come up with a bullshit excuse for not coming into work….idk why you need extensive planning for any of this. Stopping the flow of the economy once a week could be a considerable blowback to those in power imo

  • Hoping this would extend to the weekend though.

Messaging/demands, getting the word out, making sure people are able to still meet their needs, etc

Majority of this country lives paycheck to paycheck so coordinating something like this isn’t as simple as you present it

    La Russell cant be serious

LaRusell has used the proceeds from all his albums to pay rent, pay bills, pay for school supplies, pay for food drives, pay for tutoring, pay for athletic equipment, pay for food and clothes to donate. he does “pay what you like” shows always

he just used the money Kyrie paid for his album to pay for rent and bills for 6 families

when we start tearing s*** down, the military will have to decide to either kill the people they signed up to protect or stand against the misaligned leadership such as the major military generals who sacrificed their entire 30+ year careers to not support what Trump was doing in Venezuela as they stand with the people @Slapfiendd. then you’ll really know how pointless them signs and chants are when our protectors reveal who they really are and if they will stand aside cause the people are right, or shoot to kill cause they are following orders from the Gestapo

i know this is being done in good faith but one day is not enough to make a substantial impact
