I do feel some guilt as an American funding its actions but I also know I haven't materially changed anything in this world by doing do
I think you are probably educated enough. Throughout history humans of all races subjugate others for their gain. I don't think there is anything unique to white people that makes them more likely to choose this path. They materially had the ability to colonize so they did just like others would have
I'd challenge you to provide some type of evidence of the uniqueness of the white race (which is not a race its a skin tone made up of many varying genetic backgrounds)
A small point: I’ve read many books on slaveholding by Indigenous nations in North America and while slavery is always wrong, the trending treatment of enslaved Africans in those contexts never approximated the basically demonic level of violence, torture, and dehumanization performed by white slave owners. White ppl have not just materially benefited from racism. They have historically derived psychological, social benefits that orthodox marxism/materialism is unable to account for. I believe Frank Wilderson refers to this as the libidinal economy of racism. This is just one brief side by side example but it is what I will offer. I know sources survey and discuss the practices of slaveholding in African tribes as distinctly less dehumanizing compared to practices in the American colonies, but it is not my area of expertise. Either way, A purely material a***ysis of racism is not adequate imo. This is part of why so many otherwise radical African Americans became disenchanted from orthodox marxism in the mid-20th century. The purely material a***ysis is not appropriate to the Black experience. I do not hate white ppl but the structure of white supremacy is a unique phenomenon and should be acknowledged as such. I would also argue that deep-seated racial prejudice has ironically enough been a major factor for the US having a history of horrible worker consciousness and organization. Poor whites will often accept their terrible condition if they still get to feel above Blacks and other non-white populations. This is the psychological wage whiteness instills, at least in the US.
I do support materialist a***ysis but only in concert with intersectional critical study.

And yet I find it difficult to imagine that this is the case . Bruh you know that at least 8 times out of 10 and really the number is probably way higher than that , but police almost never live in the communities they serve , like how are you not aware of that ? If they do they likely moved in from somewhere else .
