Born Michael Gordon, Mk.gee got his start playing classical piano at the age of six. He self-released his 2018 debut EP "Pronounced McGee" followed by his sophomore EP "Fool" that same year. The two projects caught the attention of various tastemakers including iconic artists like Frank Ocean, who played Mk.gee’s single “You” on Blonded Radio. He has named eclectic artists as The Microphones, The Stylistics, New Order, and Phil Elverum as his main inspirations. His music is a cosmic amalgamation of experimental indie alternative. Mk.Gee has further produced for Dijion, Omar Apollo and written for Drake.

Two new tracks! Saw him perform this week in Toronto, supported by Dijon. He played a new record, very guitar heavy. The whole stage looked like a NASA command centre.
Chicago show was amazing
Funny hearing some people’s reactions though, don’t think people expected such a different type of show

really stripped back/minimal and jammy - mostly new or unreleased, but the versions he did of cz & dimeback were new arrangements. really loved it though, exactly the type of show i love the most. feels like more of an artistic statement
