American singer-songwriter Mk.gee has today announced the release of his debut album, ‘Two Star and the Dream Police’, out February 9th. Over the course of three solo EPs and on frequent collaborator Dijon’s 2021 album ‘Absolutely’, Mk.gee developed a sonic amalgam of ghosted RnB and soft-psychedelia. On his debut album, Mk.gee leans more ardently into the darker allusions of Jersey Rock, introducing the listener to enigmatic protagonist Two Star and the narrative tightrope “between hope, impending doom, and synchronised chaos”.
