saw this and i wonder if Dijon is involved at all, since he's the one who was pretty vocal about wanting to work and give a new sound to the big pop stars.
no hate to dijon but we all know who's sound he's peddling
I never really got the Jai comparisons at all I feel like I'm missing something whenever that gets brought up cause for me its just not there
From his own words in that Dazed interview and the pre-show music he played AND the way he approaches guitar in his songs he seems completely americana, like heartland rock midwestern vibes, new single especially
this and lonely fight been on repeat so much these last two weeks
highkey the reason i stopped listening to his music as much lol
1. i think we see a huge shift in critical acclaim similar to everyone sleeping on king krule’s debut then giving him five stars for the ooz
2. frank ocean is responsible for two of the hardest co-signs in recent memory with mkgee snd 454
Apparently he’s dropping a new EP soon.
Source is a random on Reddit so take with a huge grain of salt

untitled is practically the greatest jai wave track ever along with early ben khan

my guy definitely had the least charisma/stage presence of any artist ive seen as of late, but thats not a bad thing since he was solely focused on the music with no stage gimmicks + performing with no backing track. it was also the first stop of the tour so they spent a lot of time just jamming and getting into a groove between tracks. its like hes just a regular dude who happens to be extremely good at making music
