MJ wasn’t a copy of anyone, he’s 1 of 1. Just like Kanye Omari West.

It's Graduation. Hits, like real hits lol Acclaim, no weak songs, popularity etc... Only album that comes close

To be like Thriller, an album has to be concise, top quality AND have a bunch of hits/smackers. Something like Views/Scorp will fail on the first two and Yeezus definitely fails in the last one.

Isn’t it the other way around lol

Crazy how Usher getting a resurgence and y'all in here arguing that 20/20 is the modern day Thriller

Confessions is literally the modern day Thriller by hits, the album, and (even though I don't give a single damn about it) sales.

20/20 is an amazing album, but nobody was on Usher's level back in 2004, the man was literally undefeated that year.

    Hit after hit after hit

    Classic after classic.

    Confessions is a whole masterpiece

Grad is deserving to be in the conversation with your points. However it ain’t as timeless like Yeezus. When I listen to Grad I can tell it was an album that was made in the 2000s. Yeezus has no time constraint, it fits in any time frame, even in the future that isn’t here yet

You’re right, Confessions is definitely worthy of being labeled that. The only other album I will accept.

Exactly and to be a thriller imo u gotta meet the criteria to be like

the definitive record of the year

20/20 just dont meet that at all imo (FSLS def does if we talking JT tho)

    confessions definitely meets the critera

Yeezus may not have the hits that will have huge numbers on Billboard. However the singles are songs that are from this generation moving forward, everyone will know.
