monster hunter generations ultimate is one of my fav game of all time and monster hunter world is a top 10 game of all time for me

been playing since the tigrex one on psp and got really into the series with mh3

if lagiacrus aint in Wilds then we riot

Just made a new section for Monster Hunter Wilds in op - will flesh it out more as more info comes out and put an update post in the thread whenever it happens. Like today a new interview came out for Wilds but i havent been able to watch it yet. Still cant believe its over a year away tho come on bro bro

I also updated Rise's platform info for PS5 & XSeries - I forgot to do that months back but its on everything now. I think its also on last gen but Im not sure. I'll phase out MHR as the main title in the op probably mid next year once we have a lot more info and proper release date more than likely at TGS '24

Hope we get like Monster Hunter Stories 3 next year at the least as a stop gap like with MHS2

Some people commented that the game doesn’t really look like it’s up to current gen standards graphically, could be because it’s also releasing on Switch 2

But TBF it also looks like it’s early on in development, so who knows

If its fully open world (or bunch of mini open worlds like dragon age inquistion or even Witcher) like how the trailer might be alluding too then the graphics makes sense to still be around mh world level still

But yeah its still a year+ away so the trailer would be an even older build than what they actually have atm

Idc tho as long as its world-like tier in terms of fidelity - which even Rise uses the World engine just turned down some for Switch (and of course less dense spaces than World for Switch framerate)

Just want a world part 2 is that too much to ask

But more seriously, they have never done a 1 to 1 direct sequels of an era/gen tho

Like Pokemon - and kinda like Final Fantasy (although FF does have a few exceptions)

Im just glad to be leaving Rise and thank God its not a mainline

My personal least fav title since PSP era

The expansion did make it a lot better to where I dont hate it anymore, but still - its still overall meh and last place

Especially with all the regression and stright up first time in the series rushed n cut out content in the series in the base game

Lets not ever do this again

The only saving grace of Rise besides its expansion is that I do think its genuinely the best title for a newcomer to start and try

is it worrh to play world right now?

Yes and it still has a dedicated population too that is healthy if you want to play online with randoms and the events are still happening for it as well (the events will probably stay supported until 2025 if i had to guess so its active for a while)

Its cheap as well and idk if it still is but iirc it used is/was free on the ps5 games collection thing (i dont have next gen atm so i cant check if its still there)

Monster Hunter is blowing THE F*** UP on steam the last few weeks lmao i dunno why but its blowing up a 2nd time

Monster Hunter World on steam plus consoles is the biggest MH to date (and my personal fav + top 10 game of all time) and the community made a big push to "ReturnToWorld for the hype of Wilds and the disappointment of Rise that they even got hella big streamers like Asmongold to play it as their first series entry ever and it made the game end up even BIGGER than its launch week with oway over 100,000 at once congruent players and it keeps going

And so many people are enjoying it too s*** is fire and im hella happy the game came out iirc 2017 lmao, WORLD IS GOAT THIS S*** EVEN MORE MAINSTREAM LETS GO

Hopefully it now sends a loud message to Capcom to make Wilds more like World from content, to aesthetic to mainly the way they handle monetization - this is the best timeline, World really is our "dark souls 3" moment

Its also cheap af on Steam rn last time i checked
