You don’t like fast movement ?

    Feels arcadey to me

I’m way less careful Bc I know 80% of the time I can wirebug out or wirebug when i get hit

And that’s with a great sword

Couldn’t imagine if I was using a fast weapon

Let’s be real here the one of the main reasons the wirebug exists is to make this game more appealing to general audiences through mobility

World was streamlined and updated af but ppl who don’t like MH still complained it was sluggish

They addressed it here and now all I see online is “World felt too slow but I’m loving this game!”

I honestly think it’s gonna create a wave of fans who only like Rise and can’t go back to the old games cuz they are even slower than World

Although a lot of this could be solved by just making the cool down longer

I agree with the idea that the wirebug mobility was made to appeal for a general audience but I don’t necessarily consider that to be a bad think. I feel like all the QAL improvements that they incorporated with this new generation World and Rise, have all been magnificent additions to shape the future of the series.

I have not really cared to see the criticisms of old 2gen veterans mh3 - mh4u. Basic things like standing and gathering spamming the a button needed to change , traversing the map faster was a needed change.

You have to think that each monster hunter game is well over 400 hrs of content . A lot of that nuances and slowness of the old games wouldn’t really work in this gaming age. No one wants to spend 40 mins killing 1 monster. Or 50 mins just gathering stuff IMO, that’s not really fun. Just being able to head out on a exhibition and stay out , ability to swap load outs in tents and just hurry up and get into the action is definitely a refreshing experience.

i just know my personal experience is going back to Gen U from World before this came out and i had such a damn blast playing it for 30 hours then this game launches and i buy it and i have to push myself to play more

    thats just my opinion

I kinda like the idea of a faster paced MH game. Like you said, life can be busy and I’m not tryna spend 40 mins on a hunt (not regularly at least).

Is the increase in speed that noticeable?

    Switch Axe my new boo

Hammer is the weapon I've used the most by far, then I've used the Dual Blades in some instances, but yesterday I was trying to get to know some more weapons, mainly the Switch Axe and the Hunting Horn. Switch Axe is leaning towards becoming my main weapon for now. I love how it feels and sounds impact, more so than the Hammer, and the wire bug attack on the Switch Axe is really good. Hammer also has a great wire bug attack but the Switch Axe generally feels and sounds better on impact when I'm slapping the monsters with it.

the MH boomers in the big discord i play in all love this game lmao, even more so than the people that started w/ world i've noticed

i don't think it'll be that divisive. at the end of the day, it's an easy game, but it's fun as f***, esp with friends and it's going to get even more fun as they add more difficult content.
