i mean nigga its a turn based RPG thats pretty different from the core gameplay of monster hunter so yeah i would say that isnt real monster hunter

that doesnt make it any less amazing

World is an amazing game but i can 100% see why some fans of the old games didnt like World

the feel is so different from prior entries

at the end of the day arguing what is and isnt monster hunter is pretty stupid but as someone who has also only played World and is going through rude awakening in Gen U and has just been doing research about the older games World just seems like Monster Hunter: Western Civilization Noob Edition

Just copped Rise Never actually played MH but I thought why not try it out. Everybody seems hyped and I want to be on that train too since Nintendo don’t want to give me BotW2 for a while.

everything involving the story in world was trash tbh, esp that terrible zorah magdaros fight at the end of it

world doesn't really pick up until like the middle of high-rank imo

cap lmfao the Zorah fight was hella underwhelming, but environmental based boss battles are always eh imo.

the story of these games isn’t meant to be some riveting narrative. World’s was just a refreshing lil nature-y exploration plot that kept it simple, and i can appreciate it for that.

I said most of this in the Nintendo thread, but:

I still cant believe Monster Hunter World is Capcoms biggest selling title, & by a huge margin. Previously it was RE5 or 6 iirc at around 6 to 7 million, while world hit 10 to 11 million. I've been playing off and on myself personally since the Tigrex PSP one. .

Bigger than any resident evil, mega man, devil may cry, street fight etc.

I know its gonna do cazy ballistic numbers in japan like always , it only increases in japan & its one of their most beloved series' ever, but hope Rise still has a major foot hold in the west similar to World.

My personal favs of the series' are Monster Hunter World #1, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate #2 & Monster Hunter Generations #3.
