We’re in a different era. Comparing Billie Jean to In My Feelings musically might not make sense with the quality of music being different, but the numbers are there

I get the point but there's always been changes like that in the music industry for decades.
Monoculture is dead. We're not going to get singles with In Da Club, Gangnam Style, Hotline Bling, Lose Yourself or Gold Digger level impact anytime soon because of how different media consumption is.
i think hotline bling, old town road and others were that size of song they were huge
