I know the franchise has always had a goofy sense of style but I feel like doing a sloppy blockbuster that even diehards are like ‘it’s a fun stupid popcorn’ movie is way below MK’s weight class. There’s so much great lore and characters, it could be a fallout Amazon mixed with Game of Thrones type of saga if someone actually took it a tiny bit serious.

The Street Fighter movie is probably gonna get a warmer response and box office because at least it’s going deep into the unserious shlock stuff. This one looks and sounds like a video game adaptation from the late 2000s or 2010s
