the main arguements against UBI are usually

1. inflation - studies have already been ran all across the world using UBI and Alaska has already had something like UBI implemented for a long time, they all get $2000 a year because of an oil dividend they receive for living in Alaska. All studies show that UBI actually decreases inflation, every time.

2. people are going to get lazy and not work - Sure, some people may find a way to scrape by on $1000 a month but most people aren't satisfied with living that lifestyle. And look at it this way, it's not about getting free money. It's that if you're an American citizen, supposedly the greatest country in the world, then you shouldn't have to worry about whether you're gonna have enough to eat or a place to stay.

UBI would provide an economic cushion for a lot of people who are living on the edge, and even people who are in abusive relationships, even abusive jobs which they can't leave because they would die and be homeless.

Trust me, UBI is inevitable and I suggest you do your research on it because it's gonna happen and we're gonna need it

uh why would that happen? i more see that happening if you give everyone enough money to live without having to work a day in a life. think about how many things we have now that we wouldnt have if it wasnt for minimum wage workers and no one will choose to work at a miserable job for an amount that they already get. also this can increase depression and other mental illnesses because people that choose not to work would realize that they now have no purpose and if they realize that too late they might not be able to get a higher education to get a good paying and fulfilling job but this is just my understanding so
