AYEKAYExactly! The idea is that through technological advancement life should be getting EASIER for humans, not harder. We should be embracing the fact that technology is going to make it possible for us to one day not have to work as long of weeks and actually use time to do things in life that actually matter, like spending time with loved ones and stuff.
If we don't implement a Universal Basic Income then technological advancements will be the downfall of society because robots are going to take all the jobs and all the rich tech companies are going to suck the money out of the middle class.
Think industrial revolution but a million times worse and a million times more violent if we don't do anything about it.
but you cant just ignore all the negative psychological effects this would have on society. its good as an idea but im not sure if it will work in reality

i mean you cant expect someone to make genius level albums for 20 years. its the reason so many rappers that were once considered genius are now considered to be falling off

uh why would that happen? i more see that happening if you give everyone enough money to live without having to work a day in a life. think about how many things we have now that we wouldnt have if it wasnt for minimum wage workers and no one will choose to work at a miserable job for an amount that they already get. also this can increase depression and other mental illnesses because people that choose not to work would realize that they now have no purpose and if they realize that too late they might not be able to get a higher education to get a good paying and fulfilling job but this is just my understanding so
my man, if you don't think all the points you're making haven't already been argued before you're being naive
go do some research on automation. you think people wanna work those s***ty jobs? no, and they're not even going to be available when the robot kiosk at mcdonalds can take your order 100% more efficiently.

it's literally inevitable whether you think it's a good idea or not. go read all the studies done and written about by numerous highly regarded economists and sociologists
