I'm assuming just because Maduro negotiated his exit doesn't mean he informed his inner circle or military that he's dipping lmao wouldn't make any sense
I'd assume if the Venezuelan military saw US Helicopters flying into pick up the President they wouldn't just not try to shoot them down idk probably necessary to exfil him without any risk
Early reports are saying there were no US causalities so I would assume the ground forces weren't there getting into firefights

They’re not allies that’s the thing. You can be friendly sure but how can any of these countries go all the way to South American waters to protect Venezuela? All have far bigger concerns atm. Before we know it Irans gonna be back at war with Israel for instance.
They’re not even mutual defense partners of each other. China isn’t joining because Russia goes to war and neither would if Iran does. Best thing half the time is to let the US fail on its own.
Venezuela is a hit to influence maybe, but not a critical collapse of any of these countries national security interests. They’ll just forge relations with the new government.
