For the past 6 months my team and I have been in the lab cheffing this fire website. When you join, you're given $100 fake dollars and can bid for a share in an album that is about to be released. Once the albums drop, you can trade your shares with other users. The value of a share is a % of the total money an album makes in a year on Spotify.

What if the album gets a ton of streams?
You make a whole lotta money

What if the album flops?
You loose a whole lotta money

And yes. Streaming performance is updated daily.

Starting next week we are gonna be giving out cash prizes to the people who make the most money.

some points of feedback:

page needs dark mode
when predicting average streams, make sure to let user know that they enter the numeric value without commas. better yet, let us enter a number without all the 0s and allow us to predict number in millions

as opposed to entering 132000000 - i enter 132 and unit takes care of it

highlight cash balance as a seperate element on the page; and show what my pending balance is if/once my bids clear.

We've got a whole automated system for uploading where its really just a couple of clicks although crowdsourcing albums could be a great idea
