I saw somebody say they didn't f*** with rap outside of Fabolous once
like how he nice but he's not so niche there's noone else in his category
More generally, I think having too much of an emotional investment in an artist is a bad sign.
Like, we all love the music and have emotional reactions to that, and it’s awesome when you love an artist’s music, persona, and/or identity enough to get invested in them.
I just don’t think it should ever be a central part of your identity yourself.
the real red flag to me is ppl who only have one or two genres and no interest in broadening their horizons or not even digging beyond the surface w those genres
I would've said Drake stans and hardcore kpop stans too but now know two ppl w super diverse tastes who are that so I guess there's exceptions to every rule lol
Playing an album in shuffle
Playing a song multiple times in a row
Nah you’re the red flag for that second one.
Artists who self-deprecate to shield themselves from external acknowledgement of their own insecurities.
Just because you're obese doesn't mean every music video needs to be some cheesy satire 80s theme on a vintage camcorder bro. It's ok to sing your heart out about how you loathe your own fatness and lack of self-accountability.
yeah like 3-4 of their albums though, that’s tangential when i see you pearl clutch about Kodak being on Mr. Morale but bat for The Beatles who has a whole wife beater on the roster
goes to show it was never about ethics, the mature thing would’ve just to had said you didn’t like the album but ya know etc, that’s just the way you are
It was a different time…
If she listens to nothing but Youngboy
Run away brother
Shieeet
This one shouldve been obvious to me
