I don’t mind people speaking their minds. I just don’t know why we elevate what musicians and actors say as if they have any particular insight or knowledge about s***. Many of them are idiots or just pretty not smart, educated, or knowledgeable about things outside their area of expertise. If a bunch of scholars on middle eastern studies dropped their top 10 albums list, would pitchfork or ktt dedicate a ton of attention to it? Who cares

ziggyAs we have seen the past weeks, celebrities publicly supporting Palestine is a very good start. Some of them immediately get f***ed over for even speaking out against Israel. So I heavily disagree. This is a beautiful gesture.

Also genocide seems kinda simplistic a description based on what I’ve read. Also since it’s Israel and they’re Jews, it makes it even harder for people to use that label without it being 100% accurate
