I’ll Go Anywhere is amazing
While I prefer his last project, this is super solid and a well put together album. Glad he went this direction

one of the realest lines ever man
There’s something about Mustafa’s work that is just emotionally stirring. It’s genuinely tragic, sad and just cuts so sharp. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s from the same city as me or just that he has a way with words. May Allah give him and his family sabr and peace.
“I was once a little brother.”
I think when smoke rises might be an easier listen despite having similar themes because it's shorter in length. But this album being twice as long just makes it a tougher listen to get into at first, especially with how tragic and existential a lot of these songs are.
But overall he really built on all the elements from the last project and elevated it on here. Lyrically and musically it's just a lot denser than the last project. The fusion of folk with middle eastern instruments and a dash of electronic is done amazingly on here, though I wish there was more moments like the outro on Gaza is calling on here.
need to check this out, some of the singles were rly good
also that Palestine/Sudan benefit concert he put together had a f***ing all timer lineup, so real from everyone involved
