That’s terrible. I wish less people felt the need to take their lives as all of us are equally precious, no matter our orientation.

However

1) Suicide rates are still in the same ballpark for physically transitioned people

2) Transitioning can therefore not be the magic bullet its supporters propose it to be

3) Gender dysphoria is a seriously debilitating condition and I feel a way better approach to helping people is making them feel confident in the skin and bones they were gifted with. Confident to express their gender and sexuality in whichever way they see fit.

If it works for people, that’s fine. More power to them. That way of thinking however is toxic. Not accepting you for who you are is poisonous.

Take it from someone who desperately wanted to be white as a teenager, and had certain things not happened, lord knows where i’d be at.

No.

So, I’m quoting my therapist here. I had similar views but I like the way he put it

If you absolutely cannot change something but you have to live with it, you have to change your perspective. These might be things like having to live with an unsatisfying job until
you can make a move.

If it’s something where changing your perspective doesn’t align with reason and principles, you just accept it for what it is.

And if it’s something you can greatly affect by taking some type of action, you do that.

So, a lot of problems fall into one of these or multiple categories.

I feel like in this case taking irreversible action by way of a “silver bullet” is the most heavily promoted step which I feel is a destructive mindset.

All of us would love to just take something or undergo a procedure to take care of our luggage. I like things that organically help people’s minds align and I feel like that could happen for people battling gender dysphoria if there was more of a push for it.

I do not shame trans people for their decision to undergo hrt or surgery moreso I am confused that others are promoting this as the most prominent and effective way of helping them.

It appears the public went from witchhunting trans people to trying to change their identity to then just sayin aite here’s a pill and a knife, go ahead.
