Her BD is a rapist on a s***offender list somewhere trying to get a job to pay for child support. Legit zero relationship to the topic but niggas judge that I'm with a woman that has a kid in my 20s gasp.

Tbh I don't think OP did anything wrong Its no different than parents who don't want there kids playing with toy guns or eating those fake cigarettes until they are older. You don't want to accidentally influence the way the kid thinks about something.

I plan on one day not having to break up and just being with her for life but I have to build a rapport again, which takes time

Right but I don't see toys as that big a deal. Obviously, kids know what boys and girls are.

I played with dolls too, thought nothing of it. But I never really wanted a dress.

He's young and thought it was cool probably, but the societal implications will follow him and I didn't want to throw that on him.
