The mortgage lender said I make too low and the monthly payments would be high.
So my mother and I are looking at places to rent but it is very hard. She doesn’t want to downsize but it’s hard finding a house for rent in the current housing climate. My credit was saved thankfully.
I appreciate everyone in this thread being helpful and giving life advice, without this thread I would have lost my mind.

Just thought I’d provide a quick update to this thread.
My mother, brother, and I finally found a new home to rent and are expected to move in on November 24th. Our current landlord missed the housing market rush and is having a hard time selling his house and now is trying to take my mother to court.
My credit was saved in the end

Just a suggestion, freeze your credit. It sounds like you mom is not afraid to pull any stunts on your credit so I would have to see her try opening accounts or anything on your credit. Just be careful, it takes a long time to build credit and it can collapse in a snap of the fingers..
