Disagree. Keeping it short bc I gotta get ready for a function but the dog I just mentioned was getting out at will because my neighbors' back screen door was broken. So the dog would get out, run laps, do what dogs do and then eventually go back. It started during spring or summer when I was on my patio often smoking grass, so the dog and I became good buds and he'd be sitting there with me after he did his business.

Several times the owners came to my patio bc they knew the dog was most likely there. They called me the dog whisperer, asked me to walk back to their house so the dog would follow me back in, etc. The dog and I are that tight. And the one time he'd been gone for a while without coming back, they knocked on the door and asked if I'd seen him and I went out of my way to help find him (he made his way back home eventually).

But once I got a new pup, I had to talk to them bc my pup doesn't stand a chance on its own if their dog got aggressive, and my pup wouldn't be fighting by itself. They heard me out, fixed the doors and for 2+years now I don't see the dog without seeing one of the humans.

Unapologetically.

But honestly just call animal control.

Dumb ass dude got his dog killed by letting it loose. Mfer attacked people on like 3 separate occasions. It’s really the best option for an irresponsible owner.
