    so did the woman phrase her statement in an awkward way? yea. but you can still understand what she was tryin to say. "encouraging in light of omicron" is not in reference to the population of people with 4+ comorbidities. it's in reference to the general population, and the encouraging aspect of omicron not being as deadly to otherwise healthy people is exactly that. it suggests a covid-restriction-less future that a lotta that general population wants

    btw why are comorbidities being conflated with disabilities? disabilities are usually comorbidities, but not every single comorbidity is a disability. you can have the flu while catching covid and your flu would be categorized as a comorbidity
