There are parts of Hope I think are more the tone of Resident Evil than the Resident Evil movie. I said parts of this felt like Resident Evil when I watched it

Yeah, these movies are pretty tonally similar

Hope execution of jokes and story telling is simply much better to me and its not remotely close. If it had RE budget or better effects it wouldnt even be an argument

Thought this film was pretty fun. I know the first half is getting a lot of praise and rightfully so, but the second half was just a non stop thrill ride to me (in a good way). The aliens at the very end were kind of losing me a little bit. The lore and story seemed cool though and would like to see that more explored. Hoping a sequel gets greenlit.

Watched this earlier this week. Insanely fun movie with an incredibly tense first hour. If you go in with lowered expectations, it's just a pretty well-made action movie. Don't expect a discernable story though lol or good CGI

The design of the creatures and the cgi was the only part I disliked. Really enjoy the long shots of dudes just running.

Aside from the not great cgi this was amazing lol
