ill give you thatI feel like the Views hate calmed down over time, I don’t think we’ll see that for Scorpion. He had a lot on the line and disappointed. The next album will be his most important one.

For example I am a huge lupe fan but drake is on the same level or better than these names cuz he just raps naturally good and lyricism is just a part of it. But those names u mentioned are TRYING to be lyrical. They could be better lyrically but if you ask me how you are using the lyricism is more imporant than how good you are lyrically and drake is just better than them using the lyricism even tho he is not the better lyricist. I might be looking at the situation more overall but lyricism just by itself isnt enough for me you gotta make a good art with it if you are an artist/rapper
There’s more to elite rapping than lyricism and technique but those rappers named and many others also have things like flow way above drake’s. He just doesn’t meet the standard for top tier any way you want to look at it. Top tier rapping is Jay 3rd verse on Smile. He’s not doing lyrical miracle s*** but it’s at a high enough level to be considered top tier lyricism while still maintaining top tier flow, style, etc. drake’s best rapping just isn’t at that level. Looking beyond lyricism, drake’s flow works but it’s actually very simple/elementary for the most part and his rhyme schemes are almost non existent
