Every time I think about this album I just get disappointed. I don't hate it at all, it has plenty of great songs but it just didn't hold me like most of his catalog does.
It felt like he had a real idea and then dampened the rock elements (look at how much more alive it seemed like the instrumentation was gonna be based on that Tiny Desk set), strayed away from actually telling personal stories he implied he would, and worst of all; swapping songs that fit the theme better (like Police) in favor of stream generators because the album was now releasing too far away from So Much Fun to ride that wave commercially.
You’re right. The concept of the album was made in mind that it would release shortly after so much fun and show 2 different sides.
The pandemic pushed it back 2 years and changed the direction of it.
come in here to either hate or love on the album
Had no strong feelings on it besides boredom
I honestly didn’t like it during the first listen but it grew on me and now I consider it one of thugs best
This s*** was mad stupid. Tired of everything being about aesthetic and “vibe,” whatever that means. Slowthai actually found a way to fuse modern rap with the punk sound and it banged. Disappointed because I really want more of that sound.
Wasn’t bad but still forgettable
real for posting recognize real
i don't really like the album outside of that track tho unfortunately
