Absolutely insane to make that the lead single when Sticky was right there
even a song like Tie That Binds or Overdrive would've been a dope lead single
Falling Back grew on me a bit but I almost always skip halfway through
OP is crazy, that's the best song on there
Beauty and the Beast that opens David Bowie's Heroes is catchy but really unenjoyable IMO
dam you crazy. its a bit kitschy but not bad
songs arent bad but somebody once pointed out that Purple Haze has three opening tracks and I cant unhear it ever since
its one of my favorite albums ever and track 1 is one of the best tracks both artist have ever done but for some reason ghost follows it up with Wildflower which is one of the worst tracks hes ever done
Real Life (and Losers immediately afterwards) was a rough way to start your breakout pop album lol
Beauty Behind The Madness
I like real life, losers I can take or leave though
Heaven Or Hell - Don Toliver
Nah I’ve always liked that song brew can’t lie
Art Angels, the opening track is this weird Alice inspired instrumental that feels a bit lifted from an Ayreon album I forget which one.
Thats crazy
I had to listen to p***ography again.
I take what I said back lol.. it’s a weird song but a masterpiece in its own right
Starting an album with a song that's mostly instrumental in the back half would be bold but it's something great artists do when they want to make a statement
Think Say You Will off 808s. Iconic af
This is lowkey why Falling Back is even bolder
Drake starting a project with a song where the back half is multiple minutes of him completely riffing with his rawest vocal ever is a statement. I get why it’s so polarizing but it actually does get the statement and tone of “just music” across. I remember being like “wtf” hearing that song and realizing instantly this was a different kind of album. I actually remember getting Say You Will vibes honestly. That outro was crazy
I had to listen to p***ography again.
I take what I said back lol.. it’s a weird song but a masterpiece in its own right
Real!
Always thought that Pre was an underwhelming way to start Doris, especially when the run from Burgundy to Chum was so fantastic.
Pre fire
Darkseid off thib, I guess it's good but I don't like that song, it's my least visited on the album, thib works well cause it's short, on that topic lay wit ya works as a promo single and sucks on the album
i was just thinking about how this is one of my favorite rap intros of the decade lol
what am i posed to do outside but get rich??!?!
Nah fr mfs say anything for likes i’m gonna be biting my tongue on this thread lmao
"for likes" lol that person posted something that would be considered a hot take... they simply hold a different opinion
anyway i can't think of any off the top of my head but i'll probably bump this thread months later with some s*** lol
