I actually used to consider Black Ken a classic in 2017 but idk if current me would still enjoy it but I definitely played that album in full everyday

Very interesting choice, enjoyed that album yet I eventually forgot about it, would you rate it higher than WLR?

Man probably my favorite b album. Production on point and he delivered. This s*** was my college anthem

Sorry ya but this album is great

Love this album, since Chance was brought up twice itt I wanna throw that up there
One time me and my friends were discussing the Chance hate on twitter and stuff and one of my homies said that Chance gets this much hate because most of his music is wholesome/feel-good rap in an almost family friendly way and rap fans don’t look for that.

I kinda agree with that, even his certified best track is his saddest one, Acid Rain

An album I perceived equally as “street” as it was Christian influenced, released during the emergence of drill. Mick Jenkins is fasho one of the most talented rappers of the generation, but dudes style simply isn’t in style at the moment.

I remember being mindblown that he’s capable of making such a big album sound so smooth

Even a weird track like Zambose in San Jose made sense

I agree with you on this one, always crazy to me when all that hate is spewed on it especially the “put me to sleep” accusations when it had some lowkey hits like Neighbors and Immortal. Only track I skip is Folding Clothes and even that one I sometimes randomly play

The embed isn’t working bro but from the description I’m guessing you’re talking about The Waters? If so, I haven’t heard that album yet and I always feel like I’m missing out on that one but I always forget to check it out for some reason, will surely get to it soon tho!

Edit: oh nevermind the embed works now, it’s THC never heard that one either, I only heard Pieces of a Man and Elephant in The Room imma check Waters and THC tomorrow
