The only time mixing ever bothered me on an album was Cherry Bomb and I’m pretty sure Tyler did it that way on purpose.
I remember first listening to IGOR and thinking "Why did he revert back to this Cherry Bomb static s*** after FlowerBoy?! "
Recently listened to 4:44 and something about Jay's vocals on Caught Their Eyes bothers me. Might be that they too soft compared to the rest of the beat
yea i always noticed this too haha. but it’s a banger song so
u right but the 2nd half of that song is incredible
fire me upp i lose controoool
u right but the 2nd half of that song is incredible
FIRECRACKER AND IM READY TO BLOW
u right but the 2nd half of that song is incredible
Highkey the second half wouldn’t hit as hard if the first half wasn’t so harsh
if we’re keeping it real bad mixing don’t really exist in hip hop cuz that’s just part of the culture. like you’re not gonna listen to a chief keef mixtape and be like “the mixing is bad” cmon now that’s part of it

I was listening to the Dolby Atmos mix of Atliens and Wheelz Of Steel was mixed way too clean. The original mix which is not as clear but that makes the song better. Sometimes a “bad” mix is better than a clean mix. It adds something to the song.
I dare anybody to find anything worse. S*** sound like he left the room for half a minute around the 1:00 mark
great song but especially the harmonica part
Who mixed these vocals, specifically Drakes? Even Baby. You can hear the static clearly after he says “read it”
great song but especially the harmonica part
Unbearable every time
