Everything sounds so quiet and flat, bass doesn’t hit at all, even all the spacey atmosphere is less immersive in his newer output

I don’t understand how someone who’s as meticulous about his craft as Alc can hear the mixing on Corvette Rally Stripes from the Spitta tape and be like “yeah this sounds good”. Beat legit sounds plastic thin

Another example would be TT4. The drums on Mr. Chow Hall and Tyson Vs. Ali are just horrendously weak
