I don't understand why they adapt the most insane anime to do live action like it's never something like a sports anime, or something a bit grounded like steins gate or violet evergarden. It's an anime with giant f***ing toads, or one where a cook spins around to turn his foot on fire
Franchise value. Can’t do a Violet Evergarden cinematic universe.
My bad lol the first 44 episodes of the anime where they fight arlong (fish guy) at the end
Oh yeah I think that was the main plot but there’s a lil more
If we count the team 7 introduction the land of waves is 20 eps that's more then enough for a movie. It's not dull the pace is just slow The whole point of these movies is to let ppl who wouldn't watch anime get into the franchise. Skipping one of the most important parts of the story and one they would have the easiest times adapting makes no sense.
Naruto is bigger than zabuza my g.
In all honesty, ppl need to take a bite of what Netflix’s YYH adaptation did… it wasn’t popular but that was the most ideal anime adaptation I’ve ever seen. Just get into it. There’s no need to sell it… it’s already sold. Naruto is Top 10 IP of all time. Translate instead of retell.
Zabuza n Haku are more than enough for a 90 minute movie
Yes,but that’s not a good Naruto movie man. Think about the white people making this for white audiences. You’re not gonna tee off with the most subtle (albeit most beautiful) arcs because we live in the MCU Hollywood era now.

Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, added, "Right now, miracles are happening to me, one after another. My work, Naruto, is truly, truly becoming a Hollywood movie! And an even greater miracle is that the film will be directed by the one and only Destin Daniel Cretton. I still cannot believe it! If so many miracles have already come together, then let us hope for even more. I am eagerly looking forward to the miraculous encounters that will bring us extraordinary and passionate actors! I cannot wait to meet my characters in the film!"
Don't make me relive dis twice.

Saddest s*** I ever seen

was just explaining to my girl yesterday how doomed most live action anime adaptations have historically been. i really really hope they can find a way to get this right. it's my childhood dream
Chris Pratt as Kakashi 🤞🏻
jason mamoa, jack black, dwayne johnson, chris pratt. just found your Squad 7. you're welcome hollywood
This needs to be a self contained story that only Naruto fans can enjoy. It can't try to adapt the overarching plot of this series in a trilogy or even less.
