King's Disease is probably my fav rap album from the last few years, as time goes on I only realize how ahead of the curve it is.. straight heat from start to finish.

I usually don’t give a f*** about the Grammys but to see how happy my man Nas is id take another Nas hit boy collabo. I think Nas can really get in his pocket with a single producer tbh, imagine Nas madlib, alchemist, primo, or s*** Nas an exile

We need Nas and Alchemist next fr.. with that being said, I think he's really feeling Hit Boy and their chemistry clearly goes beyond just two guys who make some songs together. If they make another album together it'll be amazing.

Also it's so dope that Nas' whole crew fw his album and you can see that it's genuine too. That 2nd clip where they all rap along to Blue Benz together is a pure hip hop moment.

I think he means the whole "he should've won years ago that's why they're giving it to him now"

But look at snoop, he holds the record for most grammy noms without a win (17) and I don't see the academy giving him one anytime soon for "political reasons" or anything

It's hard for people to accept nas delivered a classic this late in his career but they'll catch on

Oh ikr, if Big Sean put out King's Disease ppl would talk about how he leveled up and made a diverse yet unified album with an amazing blend of social commentary and personal topics but since it's Nas it's hard for KTT to fully give the credit where its due

He won bc the album itself was just that good!

Fr lol, Hit Boy and Nas make for a much better duo, King's Disease had that modern luxury rap element to it without compromising Nas' signature sound

    Unrelated but :

We need to talk about how kendrick lamar changed the way alot of black artists make art after he put out TPAB

I'm convinced Justin would've never included MLK snippets if he didn't see black artists getting acclaim for that

Sad part is they don't have the
creativity, skill nor the sincerity to pull it off

I first saw Detroit 2 cover, track list with Eryka Badu and Stevie wonder, + the singles he put out : I knew what time it was

Kendrick influenced people down to the way they shoot music videos now

Nas dropped a fantastic album that’s award winning worthy but Nas being the biggest star in the category and the not having a Grammy storyline were definitely part of why the Grammys gave it to him

Being the most familiar name in the category def helped but also having the most outstanding singles (the Grammy committee only bumps 2-3 songs from every album)

Like just hearing Ultra Black and then the singles from the other albums they had to give it to Nas lol, Grammy awards are about having positive and uplifting messages. A coke rap album never won a Grammy.

Oh yeah, Jay E def got elected just bc it was a Roc Nation album with Hov features all over it.

If it was about industry connects A Written Testimony would've won cuz Hov is much more connected in the industry and media than Nas.

If Nas didn’t win I figured it would go to Jay Elec cause of
I never thought Gibbs had a shot in hell lol
