    Rapping ability (lyrics + flow)
    Artistic vision
    Consistency
    Influence
    Longevity
    Legacy

Based on all those factors Ghost might be up there with them or at least the 3rd greatest.

One of the best storytellers in rap, iconic voice, longevity, extremely solid discography

    Definitely up there IMO

I would personally put him above those two in the first three categories you listed

I think he has compromised his vision in the last few years sadly

His last album Ghostface Killahs was his weakest work ever

  • Feb 19, 2021

Less versatility but much better artistically than both in the lane he occupies

I'd say this about Nas and Hov too though.

It's true about Nasir and MCHG but I felt that King's Disease and 4:44 were more ambitious projects. They actually had a purpose.

I love Nas but I gotta admit that Ghostface has better discography overall.

You don't think Nas had a better run in the 2010's?

Even if you don't like Nasir, you still have:

    Distant Relatives
    Life Is Good
    The Lost Tapes 2
    King's Disease

I liked all of his albums in 10s, even NASIR. The least favorite from those would be Distant Relatives, if we being honest.

On the other hand, Ghostface got two parts of Twelve Reasons to Die, 36 Seasons, Sour Soul and Apollo Kids which are way better crafted in my opinion.

Ngl I felt like some of those were diet Ghost in terms of lyrics and flow like he was on autopilot but I need to revisit them

Ghost's vision is absolutely unmatched tho

Full of imagination. Colorful and vivid

It's mainly the last album that let me down a bit.

For me he’s up there but I doubt he’s on the same level when we’re talking influence

Yeah for sure but I think music journalists need to do more to cement his legacy. Some think pieces about his creativity and recent impact on the boom bap revival wave will be dope.

I'm a bigger fan of GFK than Nas or Hov. I'll take SC/Ironman/Fishscale over any 3 of theirs. I know his legacy won't be looked at as high as theirs, but I'd say it is for sure.

Fishscale is somehow underrated (even by GFK himself), I'm actually listening to it rn and it's still such a mindblowing album.
