Couldn’t Nas link up with Alchemist? He working with randoms instead

Nas always works with the most popular producers..

Teamed up with Trackmasters for the first few albums that followed up Illmatic, who were some of the hottest mainstream producers at the time. Also had a lot of tracks with Preemo, Havoc, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Large Pro, etc on those albums.

Salaam Remi (who produced Amy Winehouse classics) has been a frequent collaborator since God's Son.

Hip Hop Is Dead had Dr. Dre/Scott Storch/Mark Baston, Kanye f***ing West, will.i.am and Stargate.

Polow da Don and DJ Toomp were on Untitled.

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and No I.D. on Life Is Good.

    Nasir - goes without saying.

Then at last TLT2 had an all star lineup of Alchemist, Pharrell, RZA, DJ Dahi, Pete Rock, Statik Selektah, Swizz, etc.

The producer that some people might consider a "random" is L.E.S., but that's a Queensbridge OG and Nas had some great collabs with him.

Earlier this year Ross said that they've talked about doing it one day but keep postponing it (gonna reply to your other post now)

    Oh lol

But I still felt like saying it anyway bc most ppl think that Nas doesn't try to work with great producers

He had Dr. Dre in his prime on IWW for example and it was ppl's least fav track on the album.

Alch actually said in an interview 2 years ago that it's his goal to do an album with Nas and they've talked about it.

Nas keeps ducking s*** tho.. he kept saying he'll do an album with AZ, an album with Preemo and those never saw the light of the day. The Lost Tapes 2 took more than a decade to drop and when it finally came out no one cared excpet Nas' core fan base.

“Me and Nas had that conversation several times,” he disclosed. “And not several times as we bullshitting. But just because a project like that, with me, would be all about the details. The details down to the f***ing smallest, most minuscule detail when it came to production and getting mixed and all of that. So, it’s not nothing that we could just sit and agree on and really dedicate ourselves to it.

“But we’ve had that conversation and we left it there. We kick it, we give each other that look in the eyes, and we leave it there until the next time. So it’s never any pressure. Me, Nas, Snoop, we got to sit down and watch The Irishman and just discuss different things about the movie and Scorsese. So me and Nas, we spoke about different things and we’re always just laughing. It was actually a joke and we both laughed at it. Some kind of way, Art Basel came in and I just blurted out, ‘Nasquiat.'”

He tried to work with Kanye who should be the greatest producer in the galaxy and it didn't work out

You can't say he isn't trying

he reads the title of the track multiple times, then calls it a hook.

Nas fans: "how goes the hook of one love sound like"
Nas: "one love one love one love"
    Nas fans:

That’s just one hook tho lmao

    And every rapper does that

Last interview he said that he's been called the GOAT so many times that it doesn't affect his mental anymore, and it's time for other rappers to get that glory now
