yea, all the hit-boy hate on ktt2... its very weird

Hit Boy was Nas’ best bet, or Boi-1da and Dahi wouldn’t have been bad either.

Alchemist? He’ll sound just like any other r/HHH rapper and Nas already expressed that he isn’t too impressed by modern rap. Oh by Modern rap he doesn’t only mean the Lil Babies or Yeats, but them slow Reddit tier rappers too.

Premier? Normies already have overly high expectations of a collab album and knowing Nas he won’t even pick the greatest beats Preemo offers. Even their collab few years ago fell flat.

After Hit Boy, Nas either needs to hang it up or release Lost Tapes 3

I can understand people being tired of hit boy lol. It's understandable.

Once their run ends Nas should do a whole album with another producer like Madlib or somebody if he wants to keep this going.

I predict a hiatus for a couple of years.

Mostly agree with these points, anyone who seriously thinks an Alchemist project would be better is just stupid fr

this is cap lmao. great producers have something that make them stand out. just blaze has his drums, madlib has loops, rza has the soul samples, etc.

all of those producers have albums with very prominent rappers and yet the production stands out as unique

we not talking about great producers and what their signature styles are here bro. nothing i said was cap. i said bro does have beats that stand out but that it wasnt the main objective here. These are NAS albums at the end of the day, you saying Nas has been the highlight for you on a Nas album is redundant. sure there are some exceptions there are albums where the instrumentals may be more enjoyable than lyrics or performance but again those are exceptions

Salute to Nas and Hit-Boy. This was a successful run of dope albums that they made together. I appreciate that Hit-Boy gave Nas new life and a new rejuvenation to want to make music again. He provided Nas with some dope ass instrumentals to rap over.

With that being said, it's probably best that they decided to wrap it up with a trilogy of the "King's Disease" series and a trilogy of the "Magic" series.

Hilarious because it’ll almost sound exactly like your typical Boldy/Roc/Larry album except Nas rapping over them beats

People ungrateful about this run tbh

Probably the most consistently quality production Nas has rapped over in years and Nas himself from Magic 1 onwards has sounded like himself from 2002.

Only one I wasn’t a huge fan of was Magic 2, but I have high hopes for Magic 3.

People would complain about any run with a rapper and one producer for 6 albums in 3 years. It's just straight up oversaturation. It's not unique to Nas or Hitboy

  • While i’m excited, I’ll admit that Magic 2 didn’t do much for me and I haven’t gotten the chance to take that one in and he’s already dropping something else?

    Big facts

Nas is a lock for the top 3 now

His position was a lil shaky prior to these

People got a hate boner for Hit-Boy on here. That’s the biggest criticism I see when it comes to these albums.

Do I agree? NO. Do I think it would be different with a different producer more revered on here all around? YES.
