with the Abbott and Costello bit, I do think she was probably just not paying attention and missed the setup
That seems impossible bc they repeat the setup like 1000 times
I think she’s disassociated
It’s like in improv when people can’t understand what’s going on on stage bc they’re too focused on themselves. She knew she was supposed to laugh, so she did, but she didn’t actually know what was happening
one detail I’ve seen nobody talk about is after primetime I left questioning how much of that movie was real and how much was played up, I was leaning more towards real but then the clear exaggeration of the tv show in this film almost brought into question my assessment of primetime too. So not only was I unsure of what happened in this movie, but I got another layer of thought into his other movie too. Really feels like it was designed as a double feature in this way because they are sort of exploring similar themes in a way

Don’t get my wrong the movie is overhyped but it’s still very thought provoking

I think she doesn't get it because her mind filters out the joke as a possibility because her brain goes, "Who, What, and I Don't Know aren't names. Those don't sound like any names I've ever heard, that doesn't make any sense."
I think it's really that simple. What's more interesting to me is that this is a clear example of her lying.
