the failure of the s***ty bethesda game starfield really makes me hesitant on any space adventure game right now being worth it

the technology has been so laser focused on graphics, that i just don’t see a studio having the ability, courage, and budget to pull off something really captivating and groundbreaking gameplay wise

even if all those pieces came together, how long it’s gonna be till consumers have the level of tech to run it…

it feels like we’re further away from it then we were 10 years ago tbh, given how much is riding on AAA games to be accessible blockbusters essentially

elden ring inspires gameplay sounds cool but the trailer is giving me the impression they want to make a grand narrative with this one. lot’s of screen actors on here

i don’t know how they’re going to manage the tension between linear grand narrative with a robust and lively open world

it feels like two very different things and rare that one doesn’t get sacrificed (botw +elden ring vs tlou + red dead)

if anyone can do it, it may be naughty dog. maybe. but i’m not captivated by this ip’s visuals like the way i was when tlou was first announced over a decade ago. the concept art was phenomenal and really unique

i get space bounty hunters have been done before but i’m not really seeing anything unique. voice acting and facial capture is best of the industry

i hope this game lands it, but neil is hyping it up and the weight of tlou’s success may be too overbearing for this to get the shine it may deserves if it releases less than stellar

i generally agree. especially the point about tlou's concept art. either way, my expectations are set lower than usual so i'll be blown away
