I mean, does something like this need the same promo as your standard AAA single player release?
They could easily drop this during the fall or winter, because otherwise it’ll be 4 years since their last title, and likely 5 when their next single player game drops.
Which we don’t even know what it is, it can’t be Pt. III, because as far as we know that isn’t in full scale production yet, so it’s gotta be something new.

Jan 13, 2023·editedI may have my personal feelings on Druckman and the direction they took with TLOU2 but I respectable deliberate choice to stick to their guns with single-player in that game, and save multiplayer endeavors for another. It reserves the experience you get from that game instead of playing it safe and bloating with more and more "stuff".

As a studio if you can create a franchise as massive as TLOU - that will keep you financially afloat and let you upscale for yeaaaars. You’ve essentially created a cash cow that will transcend generations. It would be dumb not to. Making games is more expensive than movies.

Hope next Sony update is on this and is by the end of last of us season. To be honest if we get no update by like April I’m going to be checked out .

It’d be so sick if this game lets you organically form your own little group and set up a base where you can store supplies and s***, mount defenses and things like that.
I’d assume it’d be some variation of that, taking a page out of the survival game genre.
