Harden was the best player for the Rockets throughout that run and Cp3 never made the WCF in his career to that point...

    YOU'RE DUMB AS S***

If he was the best player harden would’ve been able to close out the warriors when they were up 3-2 instead of shooting a bunch of Hail Mary 3’s you stupid inbred f*** go ahead and head butt a knife

what you sayin is not wrong at all. but injuries are never a valid excuse bc they are simply a part of the game + especially this szn where literally every team (especially the teams that made deep bubble runs) is dealin wit em

nets still had all the opportunities in the world to win the series, regardless of injuries, especially after bucks blew game 5. miss me wit the excuses, they/harden get no passes, they gotta own that L.

lebron won a game in the 2015 NBA finals when love and kyrie were both gone. he relied on dellevadova to drop 20 points and got some help from tristan thompson too.

if durant was on that level he should be able to win a series when hes up 2-0 and still had harden for the last 3 games. not to mention, holiday and middleton played like ass for large portions of some of these games.

You're dumb as s***... Harden was the best player, but he was going up against KD, Steph, Klay, and Draymond without another star and role players bricking shots... In addition to absolutely terrible officiating at home they still only lost by single digits.

LeBron literally got swept by those Warriors and the year before lost in 5 with Kyrie and Love.

That's not even an argument.... LeBron lost that series... They both did.... And Harden was basically playing on one leg while severely hobbled.

Objectively, other than his finals performance, Harden's peak and prime > D Wade peak and prime. The difference in defense doesn't offset Harden's efficiency and playmaking.

It's honestly embarrassing that it's still a debate.

so what if harden was hurt? you're up 2-0....get the job done. lebron went to the finals again in 2018 without kyrie. that isaiah thomas trade didnt do f*** all for the cavs.

if middleton and holiday balled out all 7 games, id maybe reconsider. but both of them have atrocious stats on the road when they were at BKN. game 7 and you have home advantage? should have been closed out.

on top of that, the refs were really helping out BKN in that game . harden had 8 FTs in the first 5-6 minutes of the game.

discredit it if you want, but that still doesnt change the fact that the nets should have closed the deal game 7. middleton and holiday were terrible on the road and have been most of the playoffs.

those 2 came alive in the last quarter after being MIA most of the game. giannis played great, and they had no problems sending him to the line, but nobody else on MIL really got any calls. refs put harden at the line many times and KD got some flop calls as well.

and just my opinion, but the celtics, raptors, and pacers were all pretty scrappy squads. lebron, very similarly to KD, balled out all year and in the playoffs without much help. he hit some game winners and got the finals even if he got swept

it’s not my intention to discredit bron cuz he was amazing, and it’s not his fault the east was a cakewalk that season. I’m just saying the bucks are way way better than any of the teams he faced, KD played as well as he possibly could have. dude played all 53 in game 7 and gave you 48, doing everything. it’s wrong to discredit him at all for this.

but like i said, giannis' help was atrocious on the road largely. its not like middleton and holiday were shooting the lights out in these games. my buddy texted me saying holiday was sabotaging game 7 before he came alive in the last 4-5 minutes.

these were winnable games for BKN, it just didnt happen. kyrie was there for the first 2 games, and harden (injured af) was there for the last 3. all they needed to do was win game 7 at their home court.

they were winnable games for brooklyn for one reason and one reason only, and that’s KD playing the highest level basketball humanly possible.

LeBron went to the Finals in 2018 in a s***ty Leastern Conference where he faced zero superstars in route and got swept in the Finals.

In 2017 he lost in 5 to the KD Warriors with Kyrie and Love....

Regardless of how Middleton and Jrue played... The Bucks role players outplayed the Nets... And having a healthy Jrue and Middleton still proved valuable later in the game.

KD had no Kyrie and a severely compromised Harden.... And Joe Harris lost in space. 🚀
