I mean Harden has had plenty of good teams. If you the best player on your team and consistently disappear in the playoffs, you can’t be better than a dude who has 3 championships lol.

so a harden-lead team lost before the finals because it wasn't even the best team in the conference and thats supposed to be an argument for him? people need to stop talking about the warriors like we were anything other than just a really f***ing good team

but the rockets did take us to 7 and the cavs didnt even do that and people treat lebron like the best player in the league for losing in 6 so maybe u gotta point

Like you can put up all these weird ass hypotheticals all you want. Facts are facts. no. that winning is what matters and everything else is secondary. this is probably one of the better examples when it comes to comparing a title team to a team that didn't even make it that far cause the context is so different, but when it comes down to it just win lol

winning bias is such a problem in sports discourse though. terry bradshaw isn’t better than dan marino. terry has 4 rings and marino never won one. wade isn’t better than harden cuz of one ring in 06, or because he was fortunate enough to play with bron and win 2 more.

if you wanna make the case for wade do it based on basketball but this ring counting is nonsense.

i mean if its just simple ring counting then its stupid but dwade showed he was good enough to be the best player on a championship team, which is really what the goal is. Harden hasn't showed that.

Winning bias should exist in sports to an extent, its just that basketball discussions are particularly centered on individual players so its more of an issue. But at the end of the day the best way to win is to be the better team and the best way to be the better team is to have better players
