Do not like this nigga in the slightest but when it comes to goat talk could he even be considered next to wayne? Would he just be considered a goat of this era? What would someone have to do to break the threshold if numbers not enough?

He's definitely Wayne to this new generation I made a thread about it too, the comparison goes deeper than numbers

I'm in the UK and the majority of people I hang around has at least heard of him, he doesnt seem to be as popular as Lil Durk though among the crowd of people that don't listen to rap as often

I love YB and he’s no doubt one of the best of his generation but Wayne is like literally light years ahead of him in terms of skill, talent, impact and influence.

Shows how dead the music sales industry is more than anything, wayne sold 1 million real records in a week. It'd be funny af if streaming numbers and "album equivalent units" were a thing back when wayne was doing his run. If you think they're even close you weren't alive or you were in diapers at the time

    just no

YB isn't the Wayne to this new generation
and neither is lil Baby before you go there.

closest thing to Wayne of this era is quite simply Drake STILL.

YB and Baby don't have the quality, or grip on society like wayne did in 07/08, and like Drake does now

We get it’s a different era but y’all kinda corny trying to downplay YB success because of streaming. All streaming does is show who the people are really listening to.

Saying Drake is the closest to prime Wayne quality wise is hilarious. Plus Baby does have a grip on the game right now lol. I get it Wayne Stan’s gotta hate on Baby because of the culture pushing him the way they are but y’all gotta be honest with yourselves and get out your feelings and stop drinking that nostalgic juice trying to downplay the stars of today.

i'm not downplaying baby's starpower or ability,

but just cuz he got dreads, resembles waynes work ethic and raps alot doesn't mean he's the wayne of rn

it takes much more than just dropping an album once every 3 years and coasting off the same tired flow/cadence to be the next living legend
