Maybe the worst iteration of CFP rankings that have ever been released

I would love to hear them justify breaking a decade long precedent and leaving an undefeated FSU out just beacuse they lost their QB despite their precious Ohio State getting in and winning it all with a 3rd string QB (!!!) the year of the CFP's inception

We need lineman. We aint come to play school.

Michigan’s message boards are hyper focused on Milk. Apparently there’s evidence of people at a video production company paying each other on Venmo for milk after some OSU opponents played games.

I didn't watch the show but apparently he openly lobbied the committee not to include FSU if they win out because of the Travis injury

The lengths these ESPN guys will go to to d*** suck the SEC is ridiculous

Absolutely. That's the precedent that has been set. I feel like if there was a year that they would break it, this will be it though. There are just too many bad scenarios for them

It’s as if the computers were right but they just needed more teams to pick the result.

Bro as bad as the top 5 is, the rest of the rankings are even worse

Missouri over Louisville is a joke
LSU over Arizona is a joke
Tennessee in the rankings period is the biggest joke of all

They aren't being shy about it this year at all; they want to be able to justify getting Alabama in even if they have to leave Texas out.

Tennessee entered their game on November 11th ranked 13.
They proceeded to lose that game and their next game by a combined score of 74-17.
    They are now ranked 21.

I fully agree with you. It is all posturing and getting them to the argument that they have decided…until next week. Who pays for their trips?

It's been obvious before, but this year I think they're going extra hard with it because there's a legit chance that you could justify leaving the SEC Champ out and that's never happened before

I hate to say it but I'm starting to see the argument for Texas/Alabama over Oregon. Just looking at their schedule, they've avoided the best of the best in the Pac 12 (except for Washington obviously)

Played Washington State in the middle of their losing streak, played Utah and USC after the wheels had fallen off, didn't play Arizona, Oregon State has 3 losses before their game

Their placement above Texas and Alabama doesn't make sense, especially when you consider that the Pac 12 would likely be the easiest conference to keep out of the playoff if it comes down to SEC vs. whomever. The committee is clearly doing everything it can to bolster Alabama's resume (and Texas' by association,) yet Oregon remains ranked ahead of them

    Puzzling stuff

It seems like Oregon, Texas, and Alabama are all being viewed and ranked by whose loss is the best which doesn't really work in college football because there aren't enough games and resumes are rarely similar enough for that to become a tiebreaker.

It would also seem that neither Texas nor Alabama derived any benefit from scheduling that tough OOC game - Texas isn't being ranked higher because of that win, and Alabama clearly would still be in the top 4 if they hadn't scheduled that game.

The committee is such a letdown year after year.
