This one….i need more of the vibrant colors, synths. I need that 2010 euphoria.

Was listening to some of the hits from this era and it almost felt like a second 80’s. Tbh it should’ve been a whole decade. Like imagine the swag era went all the way to 2019 and THEN we start the whole SoundCloud era and tik tok with the 2020’s…..we grew up too fast

    Brilliant thread idea bruh
I know they’re retired, but I never hear about how Klaxons had some absolute bangers.. Man I wish they had made an effort to be more active on a global scale (like similar to Bloc Party for example).

  • This and Paper Planes are other songs I’m really into rn….so stuff like this included

  • I’m just not very knowledgeable of this time period I was strictly into rap. But I’ll stumble upon songs I know I’ve heard before like

Holy s*** at someone remembering NYPC
Admittedly "The Bomb" is the only song of theirs I know lol
I had an "indie friend" who showed me this song back then. The memories man..
That era of indie was flourishing with so many exhilarating acts. S*** was something else

We’ve gotta include The Strokes itt no matter how popular they are

There’s an official documentary about this indie scene, which uses the same title as The Strokes song I posted:

@op I recommend watching this even if you’re not that familiar with the bands featured in the doc. It helps give an insight on the formative indie scene in New York that took the world by storm.
