Should I watch this or Hamnet Friday?

while I felt this personally wasn’t as masterful as The Worst Person in the World, Joachim Trier gives us a slower paced, quiet film with lots of heavy emotion and delicate performances, with my favorites being from Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skarsgård. I didn’t fully connect emotionally with the film, however, I really appreciated the cinematography and score, with the needle drop at the end being one of my favorites of the year. I would love to give this a rewatch to see if it hits harder the second time around.

Watched last night. I liked it but feel like I need a rewatch cause I was a bit tired. That being said I haven’t stopped thinking about it

Indie movies getting done dirty for all the blockbusters dropping in December, Hamnet was only showing at my AMC for 2 days

it’s so messed up man. I love me a good blockbuster but really want to see the indies too. hoping to catch Hamnet soon.

Loved the performances and the cinematography but found it incredibly hard to connect to. Felt like the emotional beats went right past me.

glad I’m not the only one that felt that way. I had high expectations and they weren’t met all the way, but I’d still recommend this movie anyday.

Seeing this on every Best Of list and top 4 Letterboxd screenshots and realizing this is the film that I think is most overrated of this year, in my opinion.

I enjoyed The Worst Person in the World much more. Maybe I'll rewatch this one somewhere down the line.
