It was kinda sad tbh you can see he wants a similar relationship like he did with his mother but his dad doesn't fully get him like his mother did. Just looking at her character she would have been so excited to hear about him going to meet the artist who created those bowls or offering some reinforced wisdom when he broke down. His mother really knew him

yeah we all change to a degree
but watch any interview from kanye over the last 20 years
does he change literally? yes. he grows and changes as a person as we all do. personality wise? message wise? humor wise? mentally how he reacts and moves is the exact same
i have friends ive had for 10 years. they may not "make the same mistakes" but they damn sure are the same type of personality ive known since the moment ive met them.
