Act 2 was amazing
that ending tho really puts things in perspective how wild his career ended up being from CD
yeah we all change to a degree
but watch any interview from kanye over the last 20 years
does he change literally? yes. he grows and changes as a person as we all do. personality wise? message wise? humor wise? mentally how he reacts and moves is the exact same
i have friends ive had for 10 years. they may not "make the same mistakes" but they damn sure are the same type of personality ive known since the moment ive met them.
No itās not the same
His moods are way lower nowadays
And his focus his not the same it seems
"i knew kanye... but i had never met yeezy"
bro lmao how do yall "he changed" people not see the path he holds your hand down here with the narration, acting like this isnt the most subjective s*** ever
thats the point tho right this whole documentary is presented as subjective from the start its kanye through the eyes of coodie
No itās not the same
His moods are way lower nowadays
And his focus his not the same it seems
how can you really say that. you only see glimpses of his life. his focus on MUSIC is not the same, but how can you say its not when he's still pushing and creating in so many areas. He's focused on HIS vision, which you do not know.
when ye is talking to the realtors in ep 3 its so obvious to me that the guy was going through a manic episode
Unreleased Ye X Teyana Taylor studio footage
!https://youtu.be/yhOsxMhe8eoWhat the hell?
this is what we needed⦠not some random clips of ye going through it
Unreleased Ye X Teyana Taylor studio footage
!https://youtu.be/yhOsxMhe8eoitās a crime coodie cut out a lot of the studio sessions, would watch ye produce for hours tbh
Unreleased Ye X Teyana Taylor studio footage

Unreleased Ye X Teyana Taylor studio footage
!https://youtu.be/yhOsxMhe8eoWhy would he not include this? Stupid af
Didnāt see anything wrong it was great to see a white man be in the āyes massaāposition towards a black man
More like he was just thinking this nigga is crazy but imma go along with it and continue my day
Why would he not include this? Stupid af
it doesnt go along with kanye a manic looney narrative nowadays
thats the point tho right this whole documentary is presented as subjective from the start its kanye through the eyes of coodie
im saying you could edit the footage however you want and him presennting it in this fashion doesnt sit right with me.
the 'eyes of coodie' seemed to be a place of hurt being left behind making the viewers think thats what kanye did to his 'day 1s' when thats not the case objectively
It seems like Time have all the unreleased footage and will be releasing it as clips on their YouTube channel

that made the whole doc more interesting to me theres a whole dynamic of whats actually happening and whats just the perspective of someone that was once close and is now completely disconnected
I think advertising this 100% as a kanye doc was a mistake

i feel that and agree
im coming from the perspective of giving causals more ammo to hate on Ye
ppl in here like "he knows kanye better than some random dude on ktt" when like you said its a perspective/angle and not the objective truth

When the first teaser released the website had "THIS IS NOT A DOC ABOUT KANYE WEST" plastered all over it and then they dropped that whole angle once the first trailer dropped

havent seen 2 and 3 yet but i think they feel more heartbroken to leave the studio than any of us man
theyāre talented and well read, i can tell they really wanted to keep the final cut as tight as possible
man iām not in the headspace to watch this
i feel like act 3 is gonna be painful

Act 2 is fine
Act 3 youāll wanna be in the right headspace for
I watched the whole thing
Really interesting and mind opening as a Kanye fan
I wonder if anything would ever make me hate Kanye
Acts 1 and 2 are great and interesting and it's nice to see Kanye as a person and his struggle
It almost justifies what he's become as shown in act 3
Act 3 is confusing because some scenes are sweet and others give me second hand embarrassment
I guess that's how I felt about Kanye in general these past few years
I also don't mind the Coodie personal life stuff, I think it's interesting to be told from his view and let videos tell the story
Also I'm happy that Donda was so supportive of him, I'm sure that helped him a lot and they're both similarly strong and have important things to say, even if I don't agree with Kanye sometimes

Personally I feel like some parts in act 3 could've been cut to let that part in
