Every live adaptation is s***, even the good ones.
I wish Netflix would understand this.
The action choreography looks too slow

I hope this is the “worst” fight scene and they don’t wanna spoil anything
But this fight seems so slow and boring
why were people even hopeful for this again
I guess after how terrible the 2010 film was, folks thought they'd learn from their mistakes this go around. People should've already known this was gonna be trash after the OG creators exited tho

No way are they're showing their "worst" scene to build up hype

https://twitter.com/discussingfilm/status/1759627378186203592You can't translate animation to live action especially when characters are moving super fast to bend

I know what the issue is, and the f***ers couldn't even figure it out.
Editing lol. They don't animate hem picking up the rocks in a fast action scene. Zuko directly shoots out fire with a punch or kick. There's no wind up to bend.
In the live action scene they use too much slow-motion shots as well.

Honestly they could at least make it look like they tried harder
I would look to wushu movies like Hero or Crouching Tiger for inspiration and fully lean into wire work and such
Ofc that would be harder than just using CG so that would never happen
No way are they're showing their "worst" scene to build up hype
Bro let me cope

I get where youre coming from but i feel like this is only an issue if youre a big f***ing nerd

https://twitter.com/discussingfilm/status/1759627378186203592This isn't meant for the og fans. This is meant to introduce the franchise to a growing new anime audience as well as boomers trying to relate to their kids
You guys gotta realize netflix is still the worlds largest streaming provider. They're walmart. They're not hbo or fx which would be more like whole foods or sprouts

Well yea. Also, it's like a slight improvement from the bad memories of the Live Action Movie. That was the first movie where I realized "wow movies can be bad" as a kid lol
So we've gone from one of the greatest cinematic atrocities of the century to something that is simply "bad"?
Progress!
People already decided they hate this series before even watching it
Go Watch it, its good
I’m just crying at how amazing of an animated series they could have made with the budget of this s*** instead.
