Editing lol. They don't animate hem picking up the rocks in a fast action scene. Zuko directly shoots out fire with a punch or kick. There's no wind up to bend.

In the live action scene they use too much slow-motion shots as well.

I would look to wushu movies like Hero or Crouching Tiger for inspiration and fully lean into wire work and such

watched the first episode and its not the worst but sometimes it felt like I was watching an old disney channel movie. I think that's cause of the kid that's playing Aang. Gonna keep watching though
