That said, I’m actually really shaken by what happened to Max and what it implies for both the final season and the limits of Eleven’s powers. I think the message of that scene of her in Max’s mind with no one there is that she’s empty. Eleven revived her body, but her mind is gone. And not only is that a crazy philosophical thought, but it shows that not even Eleven can reverse death. They’ve already shown it f\*\*\*ing with her and I’m now sure that part of the driver of season 5 will be a mission to save Max only to realize that she’s really gone. That’s bleak as f\*\*\* and I’m actually impressed with the writers for going there if I’m interpreting it right.
I do not think this show has the balls to commit to something so dark. I predict that Max will have a full recovery.

Yeah realistically they probably won’t stick with it. But I’m most satisfied with that interpretation tbh. And the fact it’s a possibility is pretty crazy.

But even so, what show of this level do you remember showing a teen main character getting their limbs snapped one by one, their eyes mutilated, and then pleading not to die right before actually dying even with the asterisk? That’s f\*\*\*ing wild. Also it just clicked that that leak of Max in a coma was f\*\*\*ing true all along lmao that’s crazy

I think it has to do with how vecna psychically takes from his victims when he kills them. So I guess eleven psychically restored whatever vecna took but it wasn’t enough to fully restore her life as shown when she’s calling out to her in the void

Loved him. They pushed his schtick a lil into the cringe in Part 2 but dude has great line readings. His charisma completely overshadowed Jonathan tbh. Hope they don’t forget about him next season.
