That's actually an impressive number considering how utterly trash and talentless he is
honestly not bad when compared to others:
yeat - up 2 me sold <5k
ken - x sold 2k
lone - no stylist sold 6k
god smite all those that made this happen

But clowned teezo for selling more than all 3?
Pretty good for an artist of his stature
god smite all those that made this happen
Not to be that annoying nerd poster but I think in today's day and age it's hard to determine just how popular or unpopular an artist - or anything for that matter - really is
I saw Nettspend at Dover Street Market in NY a few months back and it was fairly busy and not a single person went up to him or seemed to even notice him
Maybe they, like me, just weren't fans and maybe couldn't tell who he was because they'd hardly ever seen pics of him
But my point is a lot of artists might do crazy numbers in terms of impressions and interactions and memes generated on social media, but that doesn't always translate into sales (obvious I know)
The other side of that coin though is that there's artists you and I have never heard of currently doing crazy numbers in terms of real streams/tickets + merch sold, but the algorithm hasn't ever delivered their online presence to our feeds and FYPs for whatever reason
These things coupled with a seemingly infinite and ever expanding list of new artists popping up and getting some buzz everyday online, as well as everyone walking around with decades and decades of older (not current) artists and scenes and genres to explore, means everyone's attention is fragmented, so even pop (popular) music is not as popular as it once was
anyone saying 9k is bad when this kid wasn't even established last year and was making songs in his mom's car on bandlab is ed

im not even talking about just the music ! its hard to talk about sales on here in an comprehensive way
