I think it’s looked at in a more positive light now. Somebody that was unfamiliar with the history behind that album would probably go into it with a more open mind bc rap caught up to the ideas Common was experimenting with back then
I was watching one his interviews with bruh from Fake Shore Drive and he mentioned how Outkast dropped Speakerboxx/Love Below not too long after that. Look at the praise they got lol and there are parts of it that are similar to some of the sounds on Stankonia

insertcoolnameherejust letting you know it's gonna be jarring going from his debut album to Ressurection just cause he switched his entire flow (but in a good way)
If you ain't put off by his "poet" flow, you'll appreciate most of his discography.
Electric Circus is the only "dud" and that's mostly it sounded musically all over the place.
Electric Circus still has some great songs. Come Close is one of his best singles imo.
UMC is the real miss to me
